Whether it was a natural disaster, a roving band of brigands or monsters, or something else... your life was turned upside down and you were driven from your homestead and separated from the rest of your family. Their fate is unknown to you.
You were forced into the surrounding wilderness with only what you could carry, relying on stealth, wits, and knowledge of the area to survive. You dream one day of being reunited with your lost loved ones and, if possible, reclaiming your ancestral homestead so you can return to the life of peace that you lost.
