"Within the mountainous and snow choked lands of the North, the Ghagol Tribesmen survive in isolated tribes in spite of the innumerable dangers that threaten their lives daily. From the pure white snow that looks to consume anything which shows weakness to the horribly mutated fauna whose forms bear no resemblance to their previous versions, the weak are quickly weeded out of the already miniscule population. The remaining inhabitants of this unforgiving land have been forced to become brutally resilient in their constant struggle against the elements".
- Volo's Guide to the North
You were born as a child of the North, a land unforgiving. From your youth, you were lead on the path of violence, glory and endless slaughter. You are a killing machine, a Barbarian, living only to achieve great valour and appease your deity. However, you are not religious for altruistic reasons, but instead for your own gain. You wish to please your deity to receive boons in the forms of mutations and changes to the very fabric of your body. Your barbarian fury becomes even more deadly, as you transform into a mindless beast whenever you fall into your rage.
Choose a god, demon, devil, fiend or a pantheon from which you draw your mutations. Do you serve the demons of The Abyss, and fuel your mutations from the crimson of your foes? Are you a warrior serving the gods of old, trying to use them for your own deeds? Perhaps your own tragic past forced you to strike a deal with an ancient evil, in hopes of regaining your past.
Note: This is a barbarian only background, using it on any other class either won't give you the benefit of the boon, or it will have to be adjusted.
- Skill Proficiencies: Athletics , Survival
- Tool Proficiencies: Choose one type of musical instrument
- Languages: Choose any one language (if applicable, choose the language of your deity)
- Equipment: A set of common clothes, a tent, a trophy from a fallen foe, a belt pouch containing 5gp
As a Ghagol Barbarian, you seek to receive boons in forms of mutations from your deity. If you particularly please your deity, commit an action that won't go unnoticed or complete a task set on you by your deity (decided by the DM), roll a D8. You shall receive a boon, decided by faith from the unnatural power of your god. These boons only grow and become noticable once you fall into a rage.

Your face transforms into a monstrous form, so abominable and terrifying to look at, that even the strongest of wills cannot resist your gaze. |
|

Suggested Characteristics
As a child of the wilderness and a warrior from youth, you don't fir anywhere besides your home tribe. You are considered and outsider, a barbarian by many. Ghagol Barbarians don't belong anywhere, and this might fuel their lust for blood and gore.
