The Green Sheilds are Paladins in the service of both Melora, The Wild Mother and Erathis, the Law Bearer. The two gods have a tempestuous romance and a furious love for each other that is only tempered when civilization and nature are in balance. Most of the Green Sheilds are orphans that were brought to the groves of Druids in Wildmount so many races are represented among their ranks. These orphans are raised by druids and once they have reached maturity, they must choose between being trained as a Druid or as a Green Shield by the Clerics of Erathis. Upon completing their training, a Green Shield is encouraged to go out into the world with the mission of preserving the balance of nature and civilization. Unlike other factions whose actions are driven by politics and are assigned to address issues specific to their organizations, the Green Shields are keepers of the wilderness. Although some Green Shields will tire of travel and will settle in a small town or village in the wilds encouraging growth while protecting the wilds, the majority of them, eschew a permanent residence, and prefer to wander seeking opportunities to maintain the balance of their two gods. Often joining trailblazers and adventurers to explore the wilds and see how the world is growing.
The Balance of Two Gods: The Mission of a Green Shield is to assist in maintaining the balance between civilization and nature. It is the job of a Green Shield to strive for balance but that doesn't always mean that every situation will be balanced as they see the entirety of the world as the scale. This means that some wild places should be left untouched and in other places a growing society takes precedence. At times this can put them at odd with the Druids of Melora and the Clerics of Erathis.

Druidic

You and others who know this language automatically spot such a message. Others spot the message’s presence with a successful DC 15 Wisdom (Perception) check but can’t decipher it without magic.
Speak with Animals
You gain the ability to comprehend and verbally communicate with beasts for the duration. The knowledge and awareness of many beasts is limited by their intelligence, but at minimum, beasts can give you information about nearby locations and monsters, including whatever they can perceive or have perceived within the past day.
