The Homicide Detective Image

The Homicide Detective works as a member of the Local Watch for the City to investigate deaths that do not appear to be from natural causes. Homicide Detectives typically rise from the ranks of the local guards, or trained Paladins, Monks, or Clerics, but are not restricted to these classes. They have no authority outside of their assigned city, but may receive or provide aid reciprocally.

Feature: "It's On the House"

"It's On the House" items typical take the form of a single serving of a food or beverage such as a single piece of fresh fruit or a mug warm cider. Sometimes it's an extra serving if the Homicide Detective is buying supplies, like an extra smoked fish.

This action by the NPC is done out of gratitude, and never to be considered a bribe as long as the value of the gratuity is one (1) silver piece or less.

If at anytime the Homicide Detective deliberately asks for, or commands, for an item to be "On the House" The Homicide Detective looses the minor boon permanently across all merchants in the city.
