 No matter how little battle was done, you can still gather things easily that normal man could not find quickly without tools and/or magical assistance. You Gain advantage on investigation checks and are able to add your proficiency modifier on rolls related to finding items that may have a value from a given area. You will also be likely to find merchants that will want to trade you for the scavenged items. Make sure to tie this in with your character's backstory.
