Fallen From Grace (Noble Variant) Image

You are from a strong, powerful, noble family. Your family ruled over vast lands and had great connections. But not anymore. Your family is no longer in power. Be it because of a secret coming out, a revolution, a lack of heirs, any reason to topple this once revered family. Whatever it is, your noble title is no more and you can not claim any privileges that would have come with it.

Work with your DM to figure out how your character would react to their lack of nobility. Were you born into nobility and witnessed its collapse? Did you find an old tie to a no longer existing house of nobles that you wish to revive? Will you attempt to take back your title or is your title you long to escape from? Does your title give you a sense of pride? Shame? Something else entirely? What does the prospect of "being a noble" mean to you? Is it something to strive towards? Is it something to leave buried?

The more you know about how you and your family lost their title and what they were like before and after this loss, the more you can incorporate it into your campaign.

Feature: Air of Grace

You have always had a knack for others treating you with respect and authority. Maybe you were raised to have this demeanor about you. Or maybe it is just something you've always had deep within. Whatever the case may be, common folk will tend to listen to your advice, requests, suggestions, etc more often than not. Maybe they recognize the grace of power. Maybe they find you someone to look up to. You can always find people who are willing to listen to what you ask of them.

Roll with advantage when using Persuasion against non-hostile NPCs
