You have sailed on a maritime vessel for years. During that time, he faced mighty storms, abyssal monsters, and those who wanted to sink his work into unknown depths. Your first love is the distant horizon, but the time has come to leave in search of something new. Discuss with your Master the nature of the ship you worked on. Was it a merchant, military, exploratory or pirate ship? How famous (or infamous) and traveled was he? Is it still active or is it missing along with the crew? What were your duties on board -- boatswain, captain, navigator, cook or other position? Who were the captain and his first mate? Did you exit the vessel on good terms with your companions or did you run away?
- Skill Proficiencies: Athletics and Perception
- Tool Proficiencies: Browser tools, water vehicles
Whenever you need it, you can guarantee free passage on a sailing boat for yourself and your companions. You may sail on the vessel you served on or on another vessel with which you are on good terms (possibly commanded by a former crewmate). As this is a favor, it is not necessary to guarantee a schedule or route that meets all needs. Your GM will determine how long it takes to get where you need to go. In exchange for your free passage, you and your companions are expected to assist the crew during the voyage.

You spent your youth under the rule of a terrible pirate, a ruthless assassin who taught you how to survive on the high seas and sent more than one deserving soul to a shrewd grave. Fear and bloodshed are known to you, and in doing so you have earned a rather unsavory reputation in many port cities. If you decide that your shipping career has involved piracy, you can choose the "Bad Reputation" trait (see below).
If your character has a seafaring background, you may choose this trait instead of the "Ship Passage" trait. No matter where you go, people fear you because of your reputation. When in a civilized place, you can get away with minor crimes such as refusing to pay for food in a tavern or breaking down the doors of a local store, as most people will be afraid.
