You are a man (or woman) without a home, and travel the world as if it were all one huge house of yours. Perhaps you were once a hero, maybe you were a soldier of an army? Regardless, for one reason or another you've abandoned that semi-comfy life, if you even had it to begin with, to pursue a new meaning in life. You're not sure exactly where you're headed, but you know that you won't stop regardless.
When you choose this background, work with your DM to determine what your original job was. Consider things such as being an ex-soldier of a military group, or maybe even royal guard to a noble. Whatever works best for you and your character.
- Skill Proficiencies: Investigation, Nature
- Tool Proficiencies: Cook's utensils, navigator's tools.
- Equipment: A weapon from the past (a sickle, rapier, or boomerang.), a backpack or basket, a set of common clothes, an improvised weapon of choice, and a pouch containing 5 gp
In your life before being a vagabond, you were someone else. Who did you use to be?:

You are a traveler at heart, and have been roaming these lands for possible decades if not centuries. Other creatures that travel, be it wandering merchants or other, are most likely to have met you before and would be delighted by your presence once more. You are no fool either, you ALWAYS come prepared for emergencies! Be it with some extra bandages tucked away or an improvised weapon!
(Requires the homebrew feat "True Traveler" to work!)
- You have up to 10 feet of Tremorsense.
- You can use your bonus action to pull out some extra bandages tucked away in your clothes to heal a creature for 1d10.
- You can use your bonus action to sweep under a creatures legs (if they have any) and make them Prone.
Suggested Characteristics
The lack of home combined with the never-ending pursuit of journey has left you without much social interaction. Quick to be charmed by someone else's presence and kindness, you might not always be able to tell if someone is lying to you or not.
