Feature: Linguistics Savant

Linguistics SavantAny language may be spoken and understood * (barring somatic 'languages' such as spy/thieves' cant or communications via telepathy which do not specify language. this is up to the DM's discretion alone, share your preconceptions of this interaction with your DM to gauge expectations) any language you speak without proficiency are treated as though you are speaking 'Broken' language. When speaking in 'Broken' language, you are understood, but creatures are less likely to be receptive. Any persuasion, deception, or intimidation rolls made in 'Broken' language are done so at disadvantage.

You may take TWO languages of your choice of which you are proficient beyond your racial and common, if a persuasion, deception, or intimidation roll is made with a language of which you are proficient, add 1/2 your wisdom modifier (rounded up and a minimum of 1) on top of your proficiency in the respective type of roll. [For example; if you have a wisdom modifier of +3, and have a +6 in deception, then you you will roll 1D20+6+2. (since 3 ÷ 2 is 1.5, we round up to 2.) keep in mind if you have a negative wisdom this will always give you a +1 minimum, and not a negative modifier.

Homemade Book of Lore: TWICE per long rest you may use your Homemade Book of Lore to roll advantage on History or roll without disadvantage for any persuasion, deception, or intimidation rolls. (If used with a 'Broken' language, roll without disadvantage OR advantage.) This item is the culmination of your knowledge from a very young age, and must be protected as such. If lost or destroyed, you may take 1 week and 75 gold to fashion a new one from memory using the calligrapher's tools.
