Dreamweavers are enigmatic individuals who exude an air of mysticism and introspection. They often possess an otherworldly quality that sets them apart from others. Their physical appearance varies widely, reflecting the diverse dreams and visions they have experienced throughout their lives.

A Dreamweaver's attire often includes flowing garments in soft, ethereal colors, reminiscent of the hues found within dreams. They may adorn themselves with intricate jewelry or accessories that symbolize the connection between the waking world and the realm of dreams. Some Dreamweavers choose to wear symbols or amulets representing moons, stars, or arcane sigils, further emphasizing their connection to the ethereal.

Their eyes carry a hint of wisdom and depth as if they have peered into the vast expanse of the dream realm. Their gaze is often contemplative as if constantly seeking hidden truths or unraveling the mysteries that dwell within the subconscious mind. A Dreamweaver's voice is often gentle and soothing, carrying a melodic quality that lingers in the air like a whispered lullaby.

Many Dreamweavers possess distinctive features that hint at their connection to the realm of dreams. Hair that shimmers like moonlight, skin with a subtle luminescence, or eyes that change color depending on their emotional state are all manifestations of their unique connection to the ethereal plane. Some even bear faint, ethereal tattoos that seem to dance and shift, mirroring the ever-changing nature of dreams.

A Dreamweaver's presence is both calming and intriguing, drawing others towards them like moths to a flickering flame. They emit an aura of tranquility and understanding, inviting others to share their dreams and fears. People often seek their counsel, yearning for guidance or hoping to unravel the enigmatic symbolism of their dreams.

In their waking moments, Dreamweavers often appear lost in their own thoughts, as if their minds are continually wandering the realm of dreams. They may occasionally lapse into moments of absent-mindedness, their focus momentarily shifting to the unseen realm that whispers at the edges of their consciousness.

A Dreamweaver's overall demeanor is one of quiet introspection, kindness, and empathy. They are ever mindful of the delicate balance between the waking world and the realm of dreams, and they strive to maintain harmony between the two. Their presence brings a sense of wonder and a touch of the mysterious, as they hold within them the power to shape the very fabric of dreams.

Feature: Sandman's Blessing

You possess a unique connection to the realm of dreams. People who are aware of this connection might seek you out for your insights into dreams, or for assistance with nightmares that plague them. You have the ability to enter a deep trance, connecting with the ethereal realm of dreams and shaping the dreams of yourself and others. While in this trance, you gain the following benefits:

  • Dream Manipulation: During a long rest, you can enter a deep trance that lasts for at least 4 hours. During this trance, you can shape your own dreams, experiencing visions, memories, or even glimpses of the future. You can use this ability to gain inspiration or insight, providing an advantage on one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw within the next 24 hours. However, this ability cannot be used to gain mechanical benefits, such as regaining spell slots or hit points.

  • Calming Presence: As an action, you can attempt to soothe a creature that is experiencing a nightmare or is frightened. Make a DC 15 Charisma (Persuasion) check. On a successful check, the creature gains an advantage on the next saving throw it makes against being frightened or charmed within the next hour. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1), and you regain all expended uses after finishing a long rest.

  • Sleep Dust: You have access to a small vial of magical Sleep Dust, collected from the realm of dreams. As an action, you can sprinkle the Sleep Dust on a willing creature or an unconscious creature within 5 feet of you. The creature must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or fall into a magical slumber for 1 minute. The creature wakes up if it takes damage or if someone uses an action to shake it awake. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you complete a short or long rest.
