Magic Obsessed Image

You have been enamored by magic ever since you were a kid and want to gain the ability to wield it. 

One day you felt magic targeting you and calling to you. You searched for it and picked it up with hopes to be able to wield it. It permanently became affixed to your body and it mocks for for wanting magic.Jt refuses to help or even be used as a weapon. 

 
Skill Proficiencies: Choose 2 from Animal Handling, Athletics, Acrobatics, History, Nature, Performance, and religion. 
Tool Proficiencies: Proficiency with Medicine kit or Alchemist tools. 
Languages: Choose 1 from Draconic, Eleven, Abyssal, Infernal. 
Equipment: You gain a sentient scimitar that refuses to be used and is physically attached to you. It feeds off of your anguish of being so close to magic and not being able to use it, A pouch with 10 gold pieces, an explorer's kit or a dungeoner's kit. 
 
Motive

The reason you fight harder and how you overcome your predicament. 

d6 Motive
1 Loss: you lost a lot in your life and are looking for something to reverse the clock. The sword, instead of slowing you pushes you 15ft away from it.
2 Wealth: you came from a richer family and you have more resistance to the effects of the Scimitar because of the environment you grew up in. -1 to the die rolls of Mocking Edge. (Cannot be below 1)
3 Storyteller: You want a way to tell stories that would be better than word of mouth or writing. You take inspiration from seeing others succeed but still wish you could find what you're looking for. When an ally within 5ft of you uses a magic item, you gain a 1d2 to add to any wisdom save. Max of 2.
4 Competitive: You always strive to succeed, no matter what. When you are holding a magic item any bonus you get to speed are increased by 10
5 Jealous: You grew up jealous of others with magic and seeing them use it improper infuriates you. When an ally within 30ft of you misses an attack, or an enemy makes their saving throw against a spell or a magic item, you gain +1 to you to hit bonus and damage until you land a blow. Max of +2.
6 Encouraging: when an ally within 15ft uses a spell or magic item to hit an enemy and hits, you get +5 movement until the end of your next turn, and they get +2 to any 1 Dex saving throw until the end of your turn
 
Feature: Mocking Edge

The sword will, when prompted by the player trying to get a magical item, reduce the player's movement by 5ft.

While the player holds a magic item the sword becomes angrier and angrier over time and will start inflicting debuffs.

After holding a magic item for more than 24 hrs or by using it once, the player loses 4 max health until they do not have the item for 12 hours. After this time, if the item is still in the possession of the player, they lose 1d6 strength and 1d4 dexterity until the item has been passed off or destroyed for at least 12 hours.

3 The sword feels bad for you but it needs to feed on your suffering or else it will fade away.
4 The sword is mean and does not care about you.

1 Greedy: You will often try your hardest to get your hands on magic, even if stealing is necessary.
2 Jealous: You want what others have and will not stop bickering with them about it.
3 Hateful: you have a genuine hatred for all magic wielders because they are self righteous.
