Cartography is the study and practice of making and using maps. Combining science, aesthetics and technique, cartography builds on the premise that reality can be modeled in ways that communicate spatial information effectively.
As a cartographer you have studied and become learned in these ways and have dedicated a large portion of your life in venturing to places others would not in order to create maps to help your fellows.
