You have recently been accepted into the ranks of a secretive organization known as the "Dawn Guides", warriors and protectors of the land that fight back against those who would harm it or the people who live within it. Not limited to simply battling monsters and creature these " protectors" ferret out forces that would seek to corrupt and destroy the very land itself.
Most commonly they are more prone to springing from the trees or bushes at night to save an unsuspecting villager or wanderer and guiding them to safety. Asking nothing in return they often vanish as quick as they appeared.
You have been approached by one of their ranks and singled out for your morals and grit to join their ranks. Tasked with operating in secret and serving the greater good you hope that one day you will meet with others in the organization so you no longer have to hide your deeds.

You previously pursued a simple profession among the peasantry, perhaps as a farmer, miner, servant, shepherd, woodcutter, or gravedigger. But something happened that set you on a different path and marked you for greater things. Choose or randomly determine a defining event that marked you as a hero of the people.

The Dawn Guides operate in pairs and keeping their identities is of upmost importance to avoid retribution from those that would try and take revenge against them or their family. Members do not make anyone aware of their affiliation to the Dawn Guides unless they absolutely have to. You have the ability to contact your partner Guide when needed and can meet in secret to confer or discuss important matters drawing on each others knowledge ( advantage on a skill check if needed)
