As you traveled, your mental state slowly deteriorated and split into two. One of your alter egos took on a life of its own.
You have multiple personalities.
After long rests, upon taking damage, or any time the DM says, roll a percentage check. On 85 or above, swap to a different personality.
Create a character sheet for each personality. Each personality is its own “character” with their own proficiencies, feats, class, backgrounds , ex. You may not use any spell, or feat from another personality trait that you are not currently in. You may use and wear any equipment but loose proficiency bonuses if you swap to a personality that does not have proficiency in it.
When a personality is not in play, it is aware of all actions done by others around the current personality. They cannot affect what the current personality is doing or force change the personality.
