You are the hero of legend! The one who save the world from a foretold evil... or at least that is what you've been told your whole life. You have been recognized by your community as the chosen one from a very young age, and have thus been training for this fight your entire life. As you come of age you are sent off into the world with either a very slight idea of what you will face or an entire prophesy as interpreted by your elders or holy people. Either way, you are determined to stop the evil of this world, no matter the cost.
Depending which or what community named you the chosen one, people who are either a part of that community, are a part of an off shoot, or have knowledge of the community are very likely to be warm to your presence and more likely to help you along your quest. Those who lean more evil will be more hostile.
You have been named the chosen one by your elders or holy people, but it seems they might have gotten it wrong. While you've been training, they reread the prophesy and are now unsure whether or not they made the right decision. They never tell you this as you spent your entire life devoted to the prophesy, but try their best to fan the flames by telling you that you're not ready yet every time you try to set out to fulfill your "destiny". Eventually, you either sneak out on your own or they relent and allow you to head out into the world.
Due to the lack of fanfare, only a small community of people know who you are. Because of this, you have become adept at living off of the land and making your way on and off the the normal highways. There are no preconceived notions about you no matter the alignment.
