No matter the beast there's a chance you might know a fun fact or two, know their most critical weakness, encourage it to help you, or might be able to comfort and care for it.
Choose the nature of your bestial knowledge by discussing your background with your DM. Were you an ex-hunter with a change of heart after sparing and caring for a youngling of a beast? Were you a farmer or rancher with many of a kind of beast under your care or with groups of many? Were you a known healer in your home for restoring beasts of burden or pets to health using your intimate knowledge?
