You've spent a majority of your life honing your mind, body, and instincts to become a natural weapon. One who's most comfortable using their physical prowess and unarmed strikes in combat. As a martial artist, you have a strong mental fortitude, able to think quickly on your feet and adapt to the flow of combat. Some have learned in dojos similar to that of a monks while others have learned from masters who have spent their lives studying their specific martial art. Then there are those that have learned through intense meditation and consistent practice or from performing physical motions and techniques similar to a dance or touch-free spar. Whichever path your chose to become a martial artist, you must maintain your daily habits to keep your mind and body sharp and strong.
- Skill Proficiencies: Depending on your method of learning martial arts, you gain proficiency in athletics, acrobatics, nature, or performance.
You also gain access to specific feats later on that fuel your martial arts journey.
On top of being able to withstand long periods of training, you need less rest in a day compared to those who don't train as aggressively as you. If you have no levels of exhaustion, you may subtract 2 hours from the 6 hours of sleep needed during a long rest or 1 hour if your character meditates for 4 hours such as elves, and spend those 2 hours, and other remaining time of an 8 hour long rest, training your martial arts. If you suffer 1 or more levels of exhaustion, you must rest as normal until you have no more levels of exhaustion.
