At the end of the day, it all comes down to what's gotta come out. You are the unsung hero of modernity, and on your shoulders rests the well-being of every bustling metropolis. You know that the wilds of mankind are not the dark forests or high peaks, but rather the sluices, the drains, the ditches and the pipes. By strength of arm and sharpness of wit you hold at bay the unseemly monsters of our own making. Your job has often required the risk of life and limb in tight spaces, cavernous sewers, and all manner of the odd ends of civilization. You learned the hard way, a long time ago, to keep your eyes open and your head in the gutter.
- Skill Proficiencies: Investigation, and choose one from: Acrobatics, Athletics, and Perception
- Tool Proficiencies: Choose any two sets of artisan's tools.
- Languages: You have learned one exotic language as a result of strange happenings during your employment.
- Equipment: You gain the following equipment: A dungeoneer's pack, block and tackle, one valuable or unique item you retrieved from the sewers, protective eye-wear, and 10 gp.
The smells might be foul and the work hard, but you never really considered the possibility of stumbling on true evil in the Kingdom of Putrescence. Ah, but the coattails of humanity are ragged with unstable waste, and the ignored and overlooked has festered. Roll on the table to help you decide what exactly it was you saw down there, or create your own pipe nightmare.

You have a natural knack for understanding mechanical forces like tension and flow. This, honed to a fine edge by sticky experience, gives you advantage on checks to determine naturally occurring unsafe situations (i.e. to the exclusion of intentionally constructed traps). You may also add half your proficiency bonus (rounded down, minimum of +1) to Arcana checks designated specifically to determine the driving force behind constructs.

You began your career as a civil servant, but entered the municipal arena. From behind your desk, you control a vast Discarded Empire. You set your watch to the ebb and flow of a tide that threatens to squash the daily comforts of many. You may be a proponent of community health, or you may moonlight in service of organized crime. Regardless, you have an intimate knowledge of urban development.
Whether for the greater good or for more sinister ends, you know where to find (or lose) things that others may have thrown away. In an urban setting, you are aware of the location of the municipal dump, how roads connect, and the general flow of discarded goods.
