Pikmin Commander Image

You ended up somewhere unfamiliar, familiarized yourself with the locals, and thrived. The locals, called Pikmin, were essential to your survival, and have been loyal through and through. The skills of Dandori you learned along the way also apply to the old life you had, or the life you may lead now with the pikmin. You ask, they listen; you go, they follow; you lead, they obey. They lift, you reward; they fight, you praise; they die, you weep. Both give and both take, such is the management of time.

Skill Proficiencies: Choose two from among Animal Handling, Perception, Persuasion, or Survival.
Languages: Choose two, one of which must be Dwarvish, Elvish, or Undercommon.
Equipment: A Backpack (containing rations, a [Tooltip Not Found], a bedroll, and 5 [Tooltip Not Found]), a [Tooltip Not Found], a set of common clothes, and 1 ep.

Fortunate Fate

As luck would have it, you crashed nearby to some Pikmin. These hardy workers are willing to lay down their lives for you, so long as you give them orders. Roll on the table to see what type of Pikmin you start with.

d10 Fortunate Fate
1 The Red Pikmin: Fire resistant, great fighters, the face of Pikmin. You landed in a fortunate place, as the Red Pikmin are fair and fine.
2 You crashed, as as you blacked out, you rolled into a cave. Home of the uncrushable Rock Pikmin, sticks nor stones break your bones, nor your spirit.
3 A hole in one, you slammed into the ground with such speed the Purple Pikmin came to check up on you. Stronger than any of the others, slow yet bulky, you found a steadfast friend in the other.
4 Up on the mountaintops, you encountered the electrifying Yellow Pikmin. With a greater toss than any other Pikmin, their electricity immunity, and adorable stature, survival was swift, and friendships many.
5 In a field where you were glad that your helmet was on, you encountered the White Pikmin. Toxic little buggers who can take the gas, with a speed to match a horse, work got done swiftly.
6 Flitting about the autumnal forest, a squad of Pink, Winged Pikmin came along and lifted you to safety. With enough of them, you could fly over troubles with ease, and soon fit right in with these cheery, uplifting plants.
7 Plop! As you drifted down in the water, you saw a mass of blue head for you. It turned out, the amphibious Blue Pikmin saw you as a leader, and were more than happy to drag you out of the water. Their semiaquatic action lets them grab gear no other Pikmin could.
8 As you fell to the freezing tundra, just as the cold was about to consume you, you were brought to a cave by the frostbitten Ice Pikmin. No lake nor enemy stood in your way. All were frozen without a moment's notice.
9 Deep underground you fell, so far no Pikmin could find you... but the ever nigh-impervious Bulbmin are no simple Pikmin. Fused with one of their greatest predators, the Bulborb, these Pikmin(?) are only able to be crushed or consumed to be killed. They could not follow you out of the cave, but you know that whenever you delve into the depths again, they will be there to help you.
10 You fell onto this misfortune at night... but fate has plans for unfortunate souls like you. The Glow Pikmin, these beautiful creatures, were around to be a light in this dark moment. Yes, you had to fend off enraged natives, but you survived. With the Glow Seeds they gave you, you can summon some of these old friends anywhere dark enough to assist you.

Feature: To Arms!

With a blow of your whistle, your Pikmin who can hear you will be up and ready to defend. They can be tossed or simple told to be dismissed. When dismissed, they'll likely wander off on their own.

Suggested Characteristics

You have learned to live in this hostile land. You are a survivor, who can be easily endeared upon; any helping hands are better than a stomping foot.

d8 Personality Trait
1 I'm no picky eater after the tales I have. Sometimes I'll punch a Bulborb to death for some breakfast.
2 I like to think that the logs I write and leave will help others who crash after me will survive better than I did.
3 I give my all to keep my Pikmin safe. They saved me, it's the least I can do.
4 I live for the thrill of the hunt. Nothing gets the juices flowing quite like tackling these titanous terrors.
5 I don’t care all that much for my Pikmin. They are an army to be used, casualties are just a fact. I knew that the moment my first one died, and my ninth sprouted.
6 I expect danger around every corner.
7 I refuse to become a casualty on this planet, nor anyone else; my Pikmin nor these creatures.
8 I put no trust in divine beings. If they cared about me, I wouldn't have been here in the first place.

1 No Min left behind, ever. (Good)
2 I'm doing my best to live, as are the Pikmin. If they need help, I am the one to offer. (Lawful)

4 I care not for the struggle, I just want my happy plant friends to thrive. (Any)
5 Everything sparkles, everything has a value, and with the Pikmin's help, everything is mine. (Evil)
