"The chuckwagon cook — usually called “Cookie" — was often second in command of the wagon train after the trail boss. In addition to cooking meals, he was also often the barber, doctor, banker and judge while out on the trail."  -- Wonderopolis 'What is a Chuckwagon'

You are not a fancy chef  and make unique, magical meals. Nor are you a traveling chef in search of new tastes and styles. And you definitely are not a short-order cook like you find in restaurants, inns and taverns..

You are a Camp Cook. Sometimes called Dough Puncher, Grub Slinger, or Keeper of the Stew, but most frequently "Cookie". You don't make fancy meals, you don't take requests. You just make hot, hearty food. And lots of it. That's because you have a large number of mouths to feed and a short amount of time to do it in.
