You were the owner of an establishment, until an unexpected turn of events made you wish to go on an adventure. You are an experienced bartender that can serve drinks and make ale in seconds. You also arranged and organized fights between willing combatants.
As an Ring master you are usually the one that arranged and organized fight. Unlike the flashy, flamboyant Gladiators, Pit Fighters are trained to fight, and fight only. Well, fight and to maintain their own equipment. Or help out around the arena, patching wounds and bolstering the mood of the fighters. Point is, Pit Fighters are serious warriors with no time for music or dancing. Unless there's also booze. Then maybe there's plenty of time for both.
As a Bartender you have enough experience with mixing drinks, listening to traveler's and telling stories, and it have given you a way to read people.
You thrive in front of an audience. You know how to entrance them, entertain them, and even inspire them. You have spent a lot of time among criminals, adventurers, and nobles as they have all come into your bar, some more than others.

You can always find a place to perform in any place that features combat for entertainment — perhaps a gladiatorial arena or secret pit fighting club. At such a place, you receive free lodging and food of a modest or comfortable standard (depending on the quality of the establishment), as long as you perform each night. In addition, your performance makes you something of a local figure. When strangers recognize you in a town where you have performed, they typically take a liking to you.
