Previously a guard for a cause or people, you have been banished and are hunted by those you once gave your life for. Your experience and training stays with you, but left without a purpose you resort to less reputable means, possibly the same means that led to your exile. Once being a formidable and trustworthy sentinel, you now move as a lost and dangerous drifter, using those skills to seek a new path, and more so to overcome what once was.
- Skill Proficiencies: Deception, Intimidation
- Tool Proficiencies: Thieves’ tools, Disguise Kit
- Equipment: A set of dark common clothes including a hood, and a pouch containing 15 gp
Despite no longer being an official soldier or guard, you retained the knowledge of military and protection drilling and processes, allowing you to disguise as a true member with ease to those that don't recognize you. Your disloyalty to your cause has given you much experience in passing off as something you're not while maintaining your status amongst your ranks, making disguises and forgery almost second nature to you.
Suggested Characteristics
A guard is loyal to the very end once they find a cause, and is fiercely loyal to those they serve. Even less than reputable guards uphold this loyalty, but in their case it is to that which most deserves it to them.
