Feywild Child Image

Born to the Feywild and changed by the unique magic that flows from that realm you are fey in your very nature if not your creature type. You gain resistance to certain magics as if your were descended from Fey Ancestry.

Fey Marks

Being a child of the Feywild has left its mark on you inside and out. You are 10d6 years older (even) or younger(odd) than you look, because of the time distortion that occured when you left the Fey realms. Roll for an external trait on the table below or create one of your own.

d10 Fey Marks
1 Your eyes swirl with iridescent colors.
2 You have a sweet scent, like that of nectar or honey.
3 Specific flowers bloom in your hair to accompany your mood.
4 Your ears are tipped with long, soft tufts of fur.
5 Your skin sparkles in moonlight.
6 Flowers either bloom or wilt (your choice) in your presence.
7 Your hair is made of vines or brambles and grows back to normal length within 1 hour of being cut.
8 You have a tail like that of a dog or another animal.
9 Your tattoos move or appear to come to life.
10 Your hair moves as if blown by an fresh smelling, ever present breeze.

Feature: Wind Caller

You can call the essence of the Feywild to your aid unleashing a torrent of wind to aid yourself or your companions. Starting at 3rd level, you can cast the Gust of Wind spell with this trait, without requiring a material component. Once you cast the spell with this trait, you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest. You can also cast the spell using any spell slots you have of 2nd level or higher. Charisma is your spellcasting ability when you cast Gust of Wind with this trait.

Suggested Characteristics

d8 Personality Trait
1 I’m followed by fey voices that only I can hear, and I'm never quite sure whether they're in my mind or voices from my past trying to reach out to me.
2 Like a nomad, I can’t settle down in one place for very long.
3 Good music makes me weep like a baby.
4 Wherever I go, I try to bring a little of the warmth and tranquility (and chaos) of home with me.
5 I have never lost my childlike sense of wonder.
6 When I have a new idea, I get wildly excited about it until I come up with another, better idea.
7 I live by my own set of weird and wonderful rules.
8 I can’t bring myself to trust most adults.
d8 Ideal
1 Friendship. I never leave a friend behind. (Good)
2 Empathy. No creature should be made to suffer. (Good)
3 Wanderlust. I prefer to take the less traveled path. (Chaotic)
4 Changeability. Change is good, which is why I live by an ever-changing set of rules. (Chaotic)
5 Honor. A deal is a deal, and I cannot break such a contract. (Lawful)
6 Rule of Three. Everything in the multiverse happens in threes. I see the “rule of three” everywhere. (Lawful)
7 Obsession. I won’t let go of a grudge. (Chaotic)
8 Greed. I will do whatever it takes to get what I want, regardless of the harm it might cause. (Evil)
d8 Bond
1 I find magic in all its forms to be compelling. The more magical a place, the more I am drawn to it.
2 I do what I can to protect the natural world.
3 A trusted friend is the most important thing in the multiverse to me.
4 I can’t bring myself to harm a Fey creature, either because I consider myself one or because I fear the repercussions.
5 I’m drawn to the Feywild and long to return there, if only for a short while.
6 Though I had no choice, I lament having to leave my loved one(s) behind. I hope to see them again one day.
7 I’m fascinated by the beauty and wonder of this new land.
8 So long as I have this token from my homeland, I can face any adversity in this strange land.
d8 Flaw
1 I easily lose track of time. My poor sense of time means I’m always late.
2 I think the whole multiverse is out to get me.
3 I’m a magpie who covets shiny, sparkling treasure.
4 I’m always changing my mind—well, almost always.
5 I have many vices and tend to indulge them.
6 I never give away anything for free and always expect something in return. After all- A Deal is a Deal.
7 I am secretly (or not so secretly) convinced of the superiority of the freedom of the Feywild over that of this land and I often don’t take kindly to some of the actions or customs of the people I meet here, because it's all so foreign to me.
8 I’m forgetful. Sometimes I can’t remember even the simplest things.
