You were left alone a lot as a child, you let yourself in after school, you made yourself food, and you grew up early. Whether you parent(s) or guardian(s) had to work multiple jobs to survive the world, or had to turn to substances to survive their own thoughts. Either way it doesn't matter, what matters is you know how to take care of yourself and you don't need anyone else to do it for you.
