This background is a metanarrative hook that effectively works as an "Isekai." The player and the character they have created are to be considered as interchangeable entities. DO NOT use this background unless your entire gaming group is cool with it. This background is meant to be the ONLY background used in the campaign to maximize its usefulness. Players with this background are encouraged to make any character they please as far as Race and Class go, but they should be mindful of the fact that they as a person are who they are playing.
- Skill Proficiencies: Choose any two.
- Tool Proficiencies: Choose one.
- Languages: You may add a number of languages equal to the number of real-world languages you are fluent in.

| 4 | You may replace one attack roll made by a creature within 5 ft. of you (either in game or real life) with a 5 or 15. |
| 5 | You may ask the DM one question about the current quest and they must answer as though they are under the effects of a Zone of Truth. |
| 6 | If a total party kill has occurred, you and your party are sent back to the beginning of the session. If this has already been used in this campaign, roll a d20. You must meet or beat (5+ the number of times this ability has been used in this campaign) or the ability does not work. |
Once per session you may use one power from the Meta power table that has not been used by another player this session. You only have access to a number of options equal to the number of players in this campaign with this background.
You also gain access to one of the following Feats, but no two players (unless they are twins or likewise) may have the same one from this background: Actor, Athlete, Chef, Durable, Healer, Inspiring Leader, Keen Mind, Mobile, Tavern Brawler, or Tough.
