You rode in The Ride, an event where the rogue angel Zariel led an army of thousands into a portal to Avernus to fight in the Blood War. However, the first hell was too much, and you fled when fighting began. You made it back through the portal, but you bore a guilt so heavy it threatened to drive you mad. For some, they did fall to the guilt. Those that abandoned their call to war by Zariel now tread a path, where every moment they are looking over their shoulder. Since Zariel's fall, she has sworn vengeance, and deserters are first on her list to exact her wrath upon.

- Equipment: A torn piece of the banner of the Hellriders, a semi-intact uniform of the Hellriders from 1354 DR (traveler's clothes in quality), a gaming set of your choice, and a pouch containing 15 gp.
Thanks to lies told to those who witnessed The Ride and the subsequent fleeing of many Hellriders, you are still renowned by those of Elturel as a hero who went into the very Hells to combat evil. People who know of your "heroic deeds" are willing to give you aid should you request it. If you inform the common folk of the deception they've been fed, they will greet you with hostility. They will not fight you, but you will have lost the good will of the people. Merchants might be unwilling to sell to or buy from you. Inns or Taverns might deny you a room, or even deny serving you all together.
