You were once the scion of a great noble family. Once, you lived a life of wealth, power, and privilege, a member of the highest of societies and welcome at all the big events of the city. However, something you or your family has done left you in disgrace. Your birthright was taken from you, and none of those who used to welcome you would dare be seen with you again.
Work with your DM to determine why you've been stripped of your title and holdings. Was it your entire family that was left in disgrace, or were you cast out of your family for a personal mistake?
Despite the loss of your inheritance, you still have a lot of connections, and putting those connections to good use is a part of what makes keeps you moving.

You still know a few people among the upper crust who remember you fondly. Keeping in their good graces is important, but you are still able to call on them for aid. You can find a place to hide, rest, or recuperate among your contacts, unless you have shown yourself to be a danger to them or their reputation. They will even shield you from people searching for you, though they will not risk their life or livelihood for you.
Suggested Characteristics
Nobles are born and raised to a very different lifestyle than most people ever experience, and their personalities reflect that upbringing. A noble title comes with a plethora of bonds—responsibilities to family, to other nobles (including the sovereign), to the people entrusted to the family’s care, or even to the title itself. But this responsibility is often a good way to undermine a noble.
