Void Hunter (Shadow Stalker Variant) Image

You have always lived in the underground, a city built off of criminals and thievery. Since you were a child, you learned how to sneak around, steal, and get away, but now things have changed for you. You have started accepting bigger, riskier, and deadlier tasks. Your new job, possibly even your entire purpose in life, is now to kill people without getting caught. By luck or talent, you are fairly successful, but a famous assassin is a dead assassin after all. Your new life has opened up a choice that you must make. Will you succumb to the darkness and never go back? Or will you control the evil consuming you and never peek into the things that even death itself is afraid of? Or will you find a way to conquer your abilities, and become a living nightmare? Either way, you have been bestowed with the curse of darkness and shadow...

...But after a while you realize that it may not be as much of a curse as you first believed. You have learned and mastered the art of summoning objects or even weapons made of an unknown substance that almost seems as if void has solidified into a material. (just a glorified way of drawing your weapon, the weapon also appears to be entirely pitch black)

(you need to have two weapon fighting for this part)

Alongside mastering the art of a Void Hunter, you have mastered the art of dual wielding weapons and spells that use your abilities . With a one handed martial weapon, you are able to combo attack, hitting an enemy with the weapon, then using "solidified void" to thrust a rectangular object into the target. (instead of being able to use two light weapons, you attack once with your weapon (ex: shortsword), then using a cantrip-like spell, roll to hit with your weapons stats, but deal 1d6 void damage (target cannot be immune) no matter what the weapon is).) Another way to use your powers is by telekinetically moving the target into the air then thrusting them into the ground diagonally. (this is only a visual difference, aside from the target moving to 2 feet behind you).

Suggested Characteristics

Criminals might seem like villains on the surface, and many of them are villainous to the core. But some have an abundance of endearing, if not redeeming, characteristics. There might be honor among thieves, but criminals rarely show any respect for law or authority. But you are not among those who have a light personality, you ARE villainous to the core, and you can almost always see a way to kill or steal. There is no hope of you being a good person. EVER.

3 I do not care about others around me, so long as they stay out of my way.
4 I would rather kill and steal instead of share and talk.
d2 Ideal
1 Fear. Death is afraid of me, and so should you. (Chaotic)
2 Death. Some people deserve to die, and others deserve to suffer. (Evil)

1 I am tethered to darkness, it will always be my life's purpose.
d1 Flaw
1 I jump to violence, eager to feel the blood rush to my fingers as I kill my next victim.

Variant Void Hunter (Shadow Stalker Variant): Shadow Stalker

Although your capabilities are not much different from those of a burglar or smuggler, you learned and practiced them in a very different context: as an espionage agent. You might have been an officially sanctioned agent of the crown, or perhaps you sold the secrets you uncovered to the highest bidder. Either way, you get the job done, no matter the cost on your soul.
