You are a member of the Eldritch Inquisition. Some members of this fabled Inquisition seek to hunt evil spellcasters, both divine and arcane. Others seek to find, guide or temper people suffering from uncontrollable and unpredictable magic. Even others still seek to free individuals suffering from magical cursed items or wicked pacts.

- Equipment: Equipment: A set of traveler’s clothes, an Inquisitorial ring, amulet or brooch, a type of gaming set (one of your choice), a set of manacles and a pouch containing 15 gp.
As an Inquisitor, you outrank most other members of your organization. You can request or outright demand aid or supplies like potions, scrolls, rations and ammunition at the DM’s discretion. Inquisitorial supplies are kept at Chapter Keeps and you may also know of Inquisitorial equipment stashes left in local areas, or request directions toward them. These stashes may contain equipment at the DM’s discretion.
Your reputation as an Inquisitor may open or close certain doors for you that would stay shut for others. Locals may request your aid in solving a problem magical in nature. In turn, they’ll be more (or less) inclined to share more information regarding magical threats, studies, monsters and/or items.
Suggested Characteristics
Inquisitors tend to be truth-seeking above all. Your quest could be because of a personal vendetta, or a divine calling. You could be a good-natured Inquisitor, seeking out those overwhelmed by magic beyond their understanding in order to help them. You could also act more radical, seeking greater magical power yourself in order to better defeat your hated magical foes, at whatever cost. Your allies could be valued friends, a part of your retinue or disposable tools.
