(disclaimer, I have never made a background before, I had barely ever played DnD before, and this is a joke background. This will become VERY apparent later.)
You are working your 9-5 job of [insert the job you work at here] and you are on your computer when you come across a site that lets you enter a raffle to get picked for an upcoming adventure. Depending on the world you're in, you're either thinking its a game because you had never known there was magic and stuff, OR you were just looking at the sight and your [animal of your choice here] jumps on your keyboard and accidently enters you. Either way, you get entered and the site is really stupid and doesn't let you do refunds. You won and now you were swooped up by the hero's and on an adventure that you never wanted to do.
- Skill Proficiencies: Proficient in anything that your job required you doing (ex: you were a scammer so you'd be proficient in charisma)
just for fun, (but you don't have to do it cause im pretty sure its not a thing you usually do in the game) everyone thinks you're ugly.
- Tool Proficiencies: just like last time, proficient in anything that related to what you work for (ex: if office job then you're proficient in a keyboard)
- Languages: You speak one language of your choice since you were too lazy to actually try and learn another one
- Equipment: You have professional attire and a suitcase full of papers and a light snack.
You also get to bring your pet with you. It cannot die but cannot attack. No enemies will every try to go after the dog because all enemies know what crossing the line is.
One cool thing about this background is that (not sure if this is supposed to be part of a background) when you are about to die, your brain will go into automatic mode and run 5x your normal running speed till it is safe. (and I mean like, REALLY CLOSE TO DEATH)
Spell List
if your class was one with spells then here are some spells for you
automatic work. When you think you aren't getting paid enough for all the hard work you do (if you even did any) then automatic work will summon a clone of you (that has a transparency of 50 to differentiate them) to do the work for you. Beware it has a consciousness of its own and can do anything that you can do. (this also means the clone can also get mad and do the exact same thing with automatic work. I thought that'd be a funny feature.)
