You are a member of the social undead — one small part of a sprawling organism of blood and death. Just as you are part of the swarm of bats, the bats are part of a larger ecosystem, a never-ending cycle of life, death, and blood. You have spent your life in the slow churn of that ecosystem, of predator and prey, in the dark places of the world where the messy parts of vampire culture are on display. There is little squeamishness among the New Blood Order of Vampires, no fear of death or taboo about the dead, just a fierce affirmation of the cycle of blood and death.
- Skill Proficiencies: Nature, Intimidation
- Tool Proficiencies: Poisoner’s kit
- Languages: Choose one of Elvish, Giant, or Undercommon
- Equipment: A New Blood Order insignia, a poisoner’s kit, a pet beetle or spider or bat, a set of common clothes, and a belt pouch containing 10 gp worth of mixed coins
You know hidden, underground pathways of the undersky that you can use to easily cross vast distances as you move through the world at large. When you aren’t in combat, you and companions you lead can travel between any two locations in the world twice as fast as your speed would normally allow assuming you have the aircraft needed or are able to book the skytrains needed to reach wherever you need to go. The paths of the undersky are haunted by dangers that rarely brave the light of the surface world, so your journey isn’t guaranteed to be safe as normal travel is.
Spell List
For you, the spells on the New Blood Order Spells table are added to the spell list of your spellcasting class. (If you are a multiclass character with multiple spell lists, these spells are added to all of them.)
| Spell Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| Cantrip | dancing lights, spare the dying |
| 1st | entangle, ray of sickness |
| 2nd | protection from poison, ray of enfeeblement, spider climb |
| 3rd | animate dead, plant growth |
| 4th | giant insect, grasping vine |
| 5th | cloudkill, insect plague |
New Blood Order magic is often accompanied by a sickly green glow and a stench of fresh blood spilt.
Suggested Characteristics
Members of the New Blood Order are unmistakably products of the underdark vampire clans, ill at ease amid the comforts of civilization. They bring about the same discomfort in others by reminding them of death’s inevitable approach & are all some type of major or minor vampire or future vampire spawn to be when they die.

Contacts
To the extent that the New Blood Order acts like a single organism made of many breeds and clans of vampires all worldwide, you are connected to every other member in some way or another thanks to blood magick you are tied to vampirehood. Convinced that the rest of the world is out to get you, or a walking blood bank for you to drain, you find it easy to form close bonds with your guild mates, and harder to make meaningful connections with others.
Roll twice on the New Blood Order Contacts table (for an ally and a rival) and once on the Non-Vampire Contacts table.
