Elderly Image

You are old, grey hair, frail looking, comfortably in the latter half of your life, but you keep going, no rest for the wicked (or potentially lawful good). Some may respect your advanced age and elderly wisdom where others may prey on your frail disposition. Maybe you've been struck by newfound wanderlust. Maybe you have risen to the mantle of adventurer out of your community's great need. Or perhaps your long-buried past has finally caught up with you.

Skill Proficiencies: Gain proficiency in History and choose another proficiency between Religion, Intimidation, Medicine or Insight
Tool Proficiencies: Choose two type of artisan's tools, or one type of artisan's tool and one instrument

Equipment: A walking stick, cane or staff; a set of tools from your hobby or previous trade (same as chosen proficiency); a money pouch filled with 20gp; a set of common clothes and a diary filled with your life story

Ravages of Time

Your body wasn't what it once was. Choose or roll on the below table for a physical impairment for your elderly adventurer.

d8 Ravages of Time
1 Hard of hearing - you have disadvantage on perception checks related to hearing.
2 Tremors - your hands shake ever so slightly. You have disadvantage on sleight of hand checks.
3 Fuzzy on the details - your short-term memory is sketchy and you struggle to remember names and faces of people you've met in the last 7 days. You have disadvantage on charisma checks with these people.
4 Out of breath - your stamina isn't what it used to be and your DM may require you to roll constitution saving throws for exhaustion at disadvantage.
5 Bad Back - when prone, it takes half your speed plus an additional 5ft of movement to stand again.
6 Ghosts of the past - during stressful situations (you may decide the specific context), the DM may ask you to roll a Wisdom Saving throw (DC13). Upon a failure you are overcome with painful memories and are incapacitated for one round.
7 Weak Knees - When attacked, roll a dexterity saving throw (DC10) to not fall prone.
8 Cataracts - You have disadvantage on perception checks related to sight.

Feature: Diverse Knowledge

In your time you have seen a lot, interacting with the world around you, taking a part in the history of the world and seeing everything that comes with that. You get advantage on all history, arcana or religion checks relating to your character's knowledge, between yourself and your GM's discretion.
