Astronomers are independent-minded folk. They may live in the large cities, or in a quiet forest. But, no matter where they live, they always have a passion for the stars. Astronomers have unlocked the secrets of the skies, and use the alignments of planets and stars and how bright they are to gain knowledge. This ancient branch of magic is kept to those who know it alone. It is mainly Centaurs who have this magic, but all beings can learn. Most with this magic stay out of other's problems, but may enter the real world if they think they must. This background can be used with a Hermit, and the Astronomy magic can be a discovery.

When you spend an entire short rest stargazing through your telescope, roll on the Future Table. Astronomers are able to see the future in the stars with this feature. This feature may be used only once during each short rest, and the caster must be at full hit points.

Characteristics of Astronomers commonly include being outcasts and being lonely.
Future Thieves are astronomers who have gone bad, and spend their lives trying to steel the magic of Future-Seeing from others, and trying to unlock every secret, fix every mistake that happens in the future, determined to conquer the Future in their travels and explorations, as they hunt the other astronomers. They get their name from getting every astronomer's future secrets and then murdering them.
Future Thieves can, instead of seeing the future, Stargaze to eventually create the desired patterns in the stars, in hopes other astronomers will falsely read the skies.
