Lost Nobility Image

You once were a part of the high life, fancy parties, fancy drinks, fancier people, but you lost it all. People from outside of the rich circle used to look at you with fear, but now they look at you with only pity. You may still have some friends within the royal circle. You used to be rich, collecting taxes from townsfolk, but now you hope they give you even one copper piece.

Work with your DM to decide what level of nobility your character had. Were they a king or queen, or were they maybe a knight that had lost their position?

Skill Proficiencies: History, Perception
Languages: One of your choice

Feature: Position of Pity

When you had nobility, everybody feared you, but now they only pity you. You can usually find shelter at an inn for free, or at least cheaper than normal. And if any townspeople recognize you, they may let you into their home, either as shelter or to give you food. But you will no longer be a part of high society, nobles will ignore you, and most people will assume you don't belong anywhere but the streets.
