Your disfigured appearance heralds to all of your condition. Your mask can hide your face, but revealing it can have certain benefits. When you are not wearing anything that covers your face, any creature who can contract disease is less likely to attack you. However, any creature who can contract disease will be less likely to talk to you, and you are likely to be barred from most establishments.
