Falcion grew up in an orphanage on the island of Valdoria. Valdoria itself was a small and, unmapped. Due to it being as small as it was, no one country or ruling power owned it, nor did anyone really know it had existed. This meant that crime was at an all time high, and villages would get plundered and burned, the inhabitants slaughtered. Falcion was fortunate enough to grow up in a forest town that was mostly hidden. He spent most of his life there, wandering the forests and making friends with the animals that inhabited it. On his 10th birthday, he received a wooden bow made of some carved oak and string. It wasn't the best bow, but he loved it none the less. From that day on, he would go and practice firing his bow in the forest, using the trees as targets. He made sure not to harm any animals when doing so. One day, an orc showed up at the village. He was a friendly adventurer and would help the town every now and then. He helped to train Falcion in the art of using the bow. He also taught Falcion how to collect herbs and brew them into different potions. As payment, Falcion would do favors for the orc. This ranged from helping with chopping wood to completing small deliveries. This continued on for 10 years until one day, misfortune struck the town. A group of bandits eventually found their way to the village, and threatened the village chief, demanding large amounts of money.
The village, being hidden in the forest, didn't see the need to have a town guard or any armed force whatsoever. Everyone thought that being hidden was defense enough, and because of this, no one had any way of fending off the bandits, nor did they have the money to give to the bandits. The village chief told the bandits that they were way too poor, and needed the money. Of course, the bandits didn't like this, and so the leader of them killed the village chief, and then the rest proceeded to kill everyone. The orc who often visited, noticed the commotion and decided to step in, as did Falcion. The orc managed to kill off most of the bandits with the help of Falcion, but was mortally wounded in doing so. The orc took a major stab wound in the chest and collapsed to the ground. Falcion ran up to him and supported him. The town didn't have any way of healing major wounds, and Falcion, as well as the orc, knew this. As the orc was dying, he asked Falcion for one last favor. He told Falcion of a distant land called Gaia. He had purchased a ticket for the next boat ride over, but due to is injury, he gave Falcion the ticket instead. He asked Falcion to go to the new world and use his skills he learned to help the people of the land. Falcion, accepting his teacher's death, took the ticket, grabbed his bow, arrows, and quiver, and set off to the new world. The boat ended up taking him to a town called Willow dale
