Where ones was only one soul in your body are now two. Intertwined with each other, sharing each others fate from now on. Was it a ritual gone wrong? Or perhaps a desperate attempt to keep a loved one alive, a punishment from a foe that you now have to deal with? What ever caused it, you are still in control over your body but you have to share your very thoughts with another person. How nice it is to never be truly alone, and always have someone to talk to. Hopefully your mind mate didn't pay attention when that hot person walked passed you a moment ago and caught you checking them out.

One specific event caused the soul of another person to interwined with yours. Perhaps a loved one died, you angered a more powerful creature or you were at the wrong place at the wrong time. Pick an event that caused the other soul to enter yours and a person with your DM.

Whatever your relationship with your soulmate may be, they still have a mind, their own opinions or even goal of their own Sometimes it can be helpful when two minds think about a difficult situation. After all they need your body alive as much as you do.

You two are closer than some people could even dream of becoming. Perhaps you and your soulmate are a close team, seem to never agree on something. Whatever the case may be your life is very different now and many would like to see you dead for hosting a soul that should died with its body.
