You are a Dragonborn who was kidnapped as an egg before you were born.  Growing up you were trained and forced, by your captor "family", to use your powers (either the latent magic abilities from your bloodline, or your Dragonborn strength) for a cause with questionable intentions.  Having been isolated from all Dragonborn, and used only as a tool your whole life, you do not know your birth kin, and you know very little about what it means to be a true and free Dragonborn.  You may, or may not, have been mistreated by your captor "family" throughout your life, but your need to seek out your kin, and find your rightful clan motivated you to finally escape, to discover your true identity.
