Ancient Adventurer Image

Your bloodlines have granted you many gifts. You have lived many lives over the centuries; an adventurer, a soldier, a sell-sword, a noble knight... and many more you have since forgotten. You retired decades ago, hanging up your armor, stashing away your blades. Peace found you, finally. Perhaps you opened an inn, a school for young adventurers, or maybe started a family. Perhaps you decided that civilized society was simply too much and retreated to the deep woods. Regardless, you finally settled down after many hard years of dangerous, bloody, and often traumatizing work.
Yet fate wasn't done with you, it seems. Something - be it gods, mortals, or monsters - pulled you from  your restful retirement. You set out once more, only to find your body changed by time. What capabilities you once possessed have been diminished. Without powerful enemies to force improvement, your magic has waned and your martial abilities have dulled. Memories and contacts you once possessed have been washed away by the ever flowing river of time. So, just as you had centuries ago, you start again - building skills, relationships, and strength.

Feature: Muscle Memory

Your body and mind have been honed by centuries of training and combat. Every so often, you seem to fall back into step with your prior life. Your body and mind click back into place and your odds of succeeding in your attempts increase.

Once per long rest, you may take advantage on a skill check, ability check, or saving throw. This must be declared before the roll is made.
