Fallen Princes Of Heaven Image

**Fallen Prince of Heaven**

You were once a celestial prince, born into the radiant realms of heaven. Your lineage traced back through celestial nobility, bestowed with titles and privileges that transcended mortal comprehension. The golden halls and ethereal landscapes were your birthright, and your family's celestial influence reached across the celestial planes.

However, the allure of power and the whispers of rebellion led you astray. Seduced by the promises of darker forces, you embraced the shadows and fell from the divine grace. Cast out from the celestial domains, you descended into the abyss, embracing your newfound demonic nature.

Despite your fall, your noble heritage lingered. The corrupted echoes of your celestial titles carried weight in the infernal realms. Now, as a Fallen Prince of Heaven, you navigate the twisted politics of the abyss, a tarnished aristocrat among demons and devils.

Collaborating with your DM, consider the following details:

1. **Infernal Influence:** Determine the extent of your family's influence in the abyss. Are they a recognized force among demonic hierarchies, or has your fall left them in relative obscurity?

2. **Reputation Among Demons:** Explore how your family is regarded among the demons and devils. Do they view you as a pariah, or does your noble lineage command a degree of respect?

3. **Position in the Abyssal Hierarchy:** Define your role in the infernal hierarchy. Are you vying for power, seeking to reclaim your celestial birthright, or embracing your newfound demonic nature with ambitions for leadership?

4. **Family Dynamics:** Describe your family structure. Are there other fallen princes or princesses, each vying for control or redemption? What roles do your siblings play in the abyssal politics?

5. **Heirloom or Symbols:** Consider whether your family possesses infernal symbols akin to a coat of arms. Perhaps there's a unique sigil or artifact that signifies your noble lineage even in the depths of the abyss.

As you venture forth into the mortal realms or the infernal abyss, your dual nature as a Fallen Prince of Heaven weaves a complex tapestry that influences both celestial and demonic forces.

Suggested Characteristics

Nobles of hell are born and raised to a very different lifestyle than most people ever experience, and their personalities reflect that upbringing. A noble title comes with a plethora of bonds—responsibilities to family, to other nobles (including the sovereign), to the people entrusted to the family’s care, or even to the title itself. But this responsibility is often a good way to undermine a noble.

Variant Fallen Princes of Heaven: Demon King/Queen

A rulership over demons is among the prestigious titles in infernal societies, often serving as a stepping stone to higher demonic status. If you wish to be a Demon King or Demon Queen, choose the Retainers feature (see the sidebar) instead of the Nobles of Hell feature. One of your commoner retainers is replaced by a lesser demon who serves as your attendant, aiding you in exchange for gaining knowledge and power in demonic affairs. Your two remaining retainers might include a demon handler to assist with infernal creatures and a servant who attends to your demonic regalia.

As an emblem of your demonic rule and the dominance in infernal realms, you might include among your equipment an unholy artifact or a sigil from a powerful demon lord or lady to whom you have pledged allegiance — in a dark and binding pact. (This entity could be your bond.)

Variant Feature: Demon lords

If your character has a noble background, you may select this background feature instead of Nobles of Hell.

You hold dominion over demonic realms as a Demon Lord or Demon Lady, and your infernal lineage connects you to one of the prestigious demonic houses:

- House of Morningstar
- House of Satanael
- House of Beelzebub
- House of Leviathan
- House of Asmodeus
- House of Belphegor
- House of Mammon
- House of Azazel
- House of Astaroth

You have the service of three retainers loyal to your demonic family. These retainers can be infernal attendants or messengers, and one might be a knight of hell. Your demonic servants are entities born of the abyss, capable of performing tasks related to the demonic realm. They will not engage in mortal combat for you, won't venture into obviously dangerous areas, and will withdraw if frequently endangered or abused.
