Due to some unforeseen action, whether done on accident, or on purpose, you have had the energy of your soul removed from your body. In a sense, you've had your spirit, what fills you with passion, what gives you the feeling of emotions, removed. While your soul still resides within you, it has lost its energy. In other words, you now lack the ability to enjoy things you once did. At the same time, you do not feel sorrow or unhappiness. Though, you may be overcome by Anger or Hatred at the event, person, or creature who may have taken your spirit. Or one may feel as though they have lost it all and give up. The only emotions you truly "feel" is Anger, Hate, and Sorrow. You are driven to find the missing piece of yourself. Those who have had this happen to them, find a strange pendant with the shape of a cracked, hollowed out egg shorty after the event. Whether it is meant as a reminder or sick joke from a cruel being or god is unknown. No matter what happens, whether it is thrown into a river, fire, lava or simply left somewhere; it will always appear in its intended owners possession one way or another.
- Skill Proficiencies: Because of what has happened, many of those (except from direct family and close friends) you knew have grown away from you. After so long of this you've learned that many people only talk to you because they want something from you or they want you to do something. Allowing you to better read people as you see them. You've been estranged from people for so long, you've gotten good at taking care of yourself. Living off the land. (Gain Proficiency in Survival)
- Tool Proficiencies: Through your night alone, you've picked up a hobby or trade. These could be woodcarving, to cartography. Or perhaps you turned to crime and became a sort of thief. Maybe you made an attempt to hide yourself from someone or camouflage yourself while on the hunt for food. Maybe you became familiar which herbs were good and bad.
- Equipment: A small, Cracked Egg Pendant which will be hollow. The chain will be made of bronze while the egg itself will seem to be made of silver. While the bearer might see some value in its precious metal, no one individual will buy it. Leaving those who touch it (other than the intended wearer) with immediately feel a sense of dread and as though it is cursed.
Your spiritless nature causes a sense of unease in many other people. While some seem to keep their guard up around you, others can feel cold chills as you pass by, even a sense of dread. Because of this, most people find it hard to trust you. At the same time, beings that feed on souls are less likely to notice you, choosing to go after more "flavorful" individuals if able to. In addition, lesser undead seem less likely to take notice of you. (This last part is optional and should be discussed with your DM on how to handle said situation.)
