You've spent your life wandering from place to place, ever traveling. In search of something, perhaps? Maybe just to see the world? Truth is, nobody who has met you really knows, and there's a good chance you might not even know, yourself. The wayward wanderer is an ever-moving enigma in the world, appearing in peoples' lives and disappearing suddenly, and often without warning. In their travels, they've become quite accustomed to meeting and leaving groups, traveling to and from places most couldn't dream of, and seeing or taking part in events that bards could write about.

Feature: Wayward Soul

You have seen much in your travels, and done more. Anywhere you go, you either have personal first-hand knowledge about, or have heard about with enough detail in your travels that you can surmise general features such as the terrain, the ecosystem, major cities or settlements, or important landmarks. This impressive knowledge makes you a keen guide, even in the event of finding yourself in a place you haven't been. You do not need to roll to know commonly known or slightly uncommonly known details about a region you are in, so long as it is on your native plane of existence, and you have advantage on all Intelligence (Investigation) checks made to learn new details about any location you can name or travel to.

Wayward Wanderers have seen enough places and heard enough tales of those they haven't been to for a lifetime, and plan to keep seeing more. They will move from place to place, following any stories that intrigue them to new destinations. Their motivations for this are what define their characteristics.

1 I'm always polite and courteous. I try to adhere to local customs wherever I go.
2 I am generally unphased by monsters and natural disasters. I've seen worse.
3 I know I'm a transient face in the lives of those I meet, so I don't tend to worry about making a lasting impression or deep connections.
4 I feel tremendous empathy for all who suffer.
5 I’ve picked up a large number of customs and mannerisms in my travels, and have adopted many of them in my daily life. Many consider them odd or unusual in places I visit.
6 I am always up for a new adventure. Any chance to explore further, deeper, or just more is a welcome one.
7 I use words from many languages in conversations, sometimes forgetting the appropriate words in the language I'm having the conversation in.
8 I always want to learn more about the places I travel to and the people living in them, and am happy to share anything I've learned with anyone that shows interest.

4 I'm bad at managing money, and constantly find my coin purse lacking when I arrive in new places.
5 I'm not terribly friendly with people, since I never stick around for long.
6 I am reluctant to share what I've learned or gained in my travels, for they are my treasures and I am the one who earned them.
