Was A Wolf For 10 Years Image

Perhaps you angered a wizard who cast True Polymorph on you. Maybe an irresponsible friend or sibling transformed you by accident. Maybe it was a random act of the gods. Whatever the situation, you have spent the last decade or so living as a wolf. Due to the magic imparted on you to turn you into a wolf, coupled with the extended amount of time you have been unable to speak with any human company, you have lost much of your previous identity.

After a while, a pack of wolves took you in, and you began to adapt to your situation. You've learned how to prowl the wilds, never short on food and with a pack to help defend yourself.

A strange turn of events caused you to rematerialize into your true form. You are suddenly thrust into a strange world once again as a humanoid, barely remembering how to talk, let alone what to do. The latent magic of your prior transformation has resulted in some changes to physique as well.

Skill Proficiencies: Animal Handling, choose between Nature or Survival
Tool Proficiencies: One tool proficiency that you had ten years ago
Languages: One language that you knew ten years ago
Equipment: None

Feature: Bestial Habits

Though you may have returned to your true form, the pack of wolves that took you in still recognize you as a friend. Once per long rest, you may summon up to two wolves to aid you in battle. They will leave when combat ends. You have a total of six allied wolves you may summon; if one of them dies, that wolf cannot be summoned again.

Additionally, the years you spent as a wolf left their mark on you. You may have some or all of these abilities, at your DM's discretion.

  • You have advantage on Nature and Survival checks.
  • You gain Darkvision up to 30 feet, unless you have a stronger form of Darkvision already.
  • You have advantage on Perception checks that rely on hearing or smell. (Keen Hearing and Smell)
  • You have advantage on attack rolls against a creature if at least one of your allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn’t incapacitated. (Pack Tactics)
