You served for your nations Navy, and every ship needs a Doctor. That is where you honed your craft. You not only fought in service of your country, but spent your time mainly to tend to the injured and ill on board of whatever ship you served on. You can discuss with your DM what your rank was within the Navy, and decide accordingly.
- Skill Proficiencies: You gain proficiency in the Medicine skill.
You gain proficiency in the Perception skill.
- Tool Proficiencies: You gain proficiency with Navigator's Tools.
When you need to, you can secure free passage on a sailing ship for yourself and your adventuring companions. You might sail on the ship you served on, or another ship you have good relations with (perhaps one captained by a former crewmate). You have a military rank from your career as a soldier. Soldiers loyal to your former military organization still recognize your authority and influence, and they defer to you if they are of a lower rank.
