Railway Worker

You have helped lay, maintain, or repair the great iron railroads spanning the lands of civilization.  You know the places between the cities where only the iron rails and the dangers of the wild are all around.  You have slept on the back of box cars and dined in the fancy cars of the elite passengers.  The Rails are home.  Travel to new sights are the norm... and when the need arises you are no stranger to the raise of the hammer and the drive of the spike.  You have met peoples from every land, every type of face or language is your norm and this has granted you a unique perception on the society's of the word.  

You know your way around the Railways...even the ones laying dormant and dead...  you can follow the railsigns to any place you wish to reach that has a Railway System.  You can do this by riding trains for free as a line Hobo, or even getting paid work on a train (2 silver per day).  Generally you can get space for companions and the like to travel with you if needed in a crunch.  The Railway also tends to protect its own, if you find yourselves in danger and other railworkers are around.. the hammers tend to pound out the kinks in the track together so to speak.  You 'may' find aid in unexpected places if a railway is nearby.
