You worked at a Inn as the owner, the bartender, the server, the cook or some combination of jobs. You are very outgoing and personable to the point of being a people pleaser, but you know when someone is being unreasonable or disrespectful to you or those around you and do not tolerate such behavior. Whenever there is cause for celebration, you tend to be the one making sure everyone is having as much fun as possible. You will top off drinks, put food in empty hands, start a fire or keep one alive, and if nobody else is playing music, you will take out your instrument of choice and get the party started!

Thirst for Adventure
Why did you leave the life of stability and comfort as an Innkeep for this new life of danger and uncertainty of an adventurer? Whatever the case, you chose to become an adventurer where your life is regularly at risk, so there must be a good reason for doing so. You can work with your DM to figure out why you left the easy life behind or you can choose to roll on the table below.

You were fired or otherwise run out of town and chose to take the opportunity to turn strangers into new friends.

Feature: Hospitality
Your experience working at an Inn allows you to be very accommodating whenever people need some rest and relaxation. Whenever you and your party need to take a break, you can decide to take 30 minutes instead of the usual 1 hour to gain the benefits of a short rest. In addition, you and whoever is taking a short rest with you gain 1d4 each to spend on their hp similar to spending hit dice, which only lasts for that short rest. This does not count against your own hit dice amount and cannot make temporary hp. During a long rest you can choose to cook for your party as long as you have some food on you. For example, you can use 1 day of rations to cook a tasty meal for 4 people (including you) instead of everyone using 1 day of rations each. You may also collect or forage for food to use for this purpose instead to your DM's discretion.
Suggested Characteristics
The skills needed working at an Inn revolve around dealing with people. You have to make new customers feel welcome and returning customers feel appreciated. You have to mitigate disputes between customers before they might escalate to a brawl. You have to know when to kick drunk and belligerent customers out of the Inn. You also have to get along and work well with whatever coworkers you might have. These things do not automatically mean you're an empathic person, though that is typically the case. Perhaps you were just really good at faking it when you were on the job but your smile fades away as soon as you no longer need it.
