Nefar Ranger

You are a member of the Rangers of Nefar, a militaristic Order of recluses and hermits living in the forests of Nefar. Each Ranger lives inside the forest, usually constructing small cabins or homesteads, and patrols the forest at all times. Rangers living in close proximity are referred to as a Unit, with units being close to each other being referred to as a Brigade. Rangers are solitary people, and tend to not have much contact with others on account of their position in the world. Given this trait, Rangers communicate with members of their unit via carved markings in trees, each with a different meaning. Occasionally more intricate messages must be conveyed, in these cases a member of a unit will call a gathering, and when necessary, the unit will elect a runner to convey the message to the next unit.
