Secret Monastic Society

You are a member of a secret society with monastic roots and traditions.  You have spent years of your life at your monastery training as an initiate.  After successfully completing the initiate’s final trials and tests of skill, you have been inducted as a member of the monastery's society.  The society's leaders have now unleashed you and your skills upon the world to accomplish the desires of the society.  You are used to living simply when required, traveling inconspicuously, and acting quickly in accordance with orders from the society. 

 

Skill Proficiencies: Your initiate training included the study of your society's and world’s history and training on social skills. 

You gain proficiency in History and Persuasion skills. 

Tool Proficiencies: Your training included the forging of documents to gain access to echelons of society as needed. 

You gain proficiency with the Forgery Kit. 

Languages: You gain proficiency in one language of your choice. 

Suggested Characteristics

Your have a high respect for your monastic order, although you may or may not like them.  Your monastic background has prepared you to endure difficult moments and has suppressed your personal emotions.  You have learned to show emotions as appropriate to the social situation you are in.

1. I am always calm, no matter what the situation. I never raise my voice or let my emotions control me.
2. My society frowns upon how dependent I am on receiving assistance from them.
3. I have been reprimanded by my society for my occasional show of genuine emotion.
4. Though I respect the power of my society,  I have grown to dislike their use of power and/or ultimate goals.
