Scribe

You were given by your parents at an early age to a local church, monastery, library, magician's lab, a local noble, or scriptorium to learn the skills and become a scribe.

While much scribe work is done these days by magical means, many in this world still love the tactile experience of opening a new book and taking in its bespoke charms.

As a scribe you've learned an amazing amount about a wide variety of topics and fields of study.

Suggested Characteristics

Scribes are a solemn lot. Where others are boisterous and gregarious, a scribe is solemn and taciturn for the most part. Or are you that one who was threatened with dismissal for testing your proctor's nerve.

But everyone has their own little unique qualities and scribes are no different. Sometimes, when you get them out into the wide world, you'll meet a completely different person than the one covered in ink and candle soot.
