Bandit Image

You come from a family associated with a bandit king, making your living robbing caravans and lightly guarded nobles and merchants on the highways. You and the rest of your family have prices on your heads and have been sought out by the law for your entire life.

Now you want to leave this life behind and set out on the road of adventure. You've learned many skills that should help you on that path. You just need to figure out how to keep your head down until you can take care of your horrible reputation. Yes, it's deserved, but that's not who you are anymore and changing public perception is of paramount importance to you.

You've lived in the forest for so long that a city will seem like a different world. Will the skills you've learned in your life of villainy serve you there? Will easy money still be a temptation? Can you change?

Skill Proficiencies: Nature, Perception
Tool Proficiencies: Cartographer's Tools, vehicles (land)
Equipment: a lucky charm such as a rabbit foot or a small stone with a hole in the center, a set of common clothes, and a pouch containing 10 gp

Feature: Bad Reputation

No matter where you go, people are afraid of you due to your reputation. When you are in a settlement, you can get away with minor criminal offenses, such as refusing to pay for food at a tavern or breaking down doors at a local shop, since most people will not report your activity to the authorities.
